Solid waste pollution prevention and control in the second half of 202

Countermeasures for the Pollution Control of Industrial Solid Wastes

The pollution caused by solid waste has a wide range of negative impacts on the environment, such as polluting water bodies, the atmosphere, and the soil. Therefore, we must be more cautious in dealing with garbage and must find solutions to control and manage solid pollution. The first step is to control the amount of waste generated. For example, increasing the lifespan of products and improving the recycling rate of waste materials. Secondly, we should carry out comprehensive utilization, treating solid waste as a resource and energy. If it cannot be utilized, it can be compressed and treated without toxicity to become final solid waste, and then be buried or dumped at sea.

The countermeasures for the treatment of industrial solid waste pollution are as follows:

First, we should give greater attention to solid waste management. The technical and engineering aspects of solid waste management cannot be achieved in a vacuum. Decision-makers must understand the political and social impacts of their actions. While vigorously advocating the reduction of COD and SO2 emissions, we must also strengthen the management of solid waste. Strengthen coordination and communication among relevant departments such as environmental protection, economy, finance, trade, and industry and commerce, to form a comprehensive management force. Change the current situation where environmental supervision is inadequate and relevant systems and regulations are not sound, and prevent the occurrence of problems such as "developing a circular economy on the surface" while actually obtaining economic benefits by polluting the environment again.

Secondly, establish a solid waste recycling, treatment and utilization system. Conduct scientific planning for the solid waste recycling, treatment and utilization industry, rectify and standardize the solid waste recycling market, quickly implement the classification and recycling of urban domestic waste, gradually increase the rate of harmless treatment and the level of resource utilization of solid waste. Support and develop solid waste resource utilization enterprises and industries, accelerate the construction of solid waste disposal centers and industrial centers, and enhance the technological innovation capabilities of solid waste resource utilization enterprises.

The countermeasures for the pollution control of domestic waste are as follows:

① Landfill method. The location selection of the landfill site. The principles followed during the site selection are: away from residential areas and water sources; avoid the upwind direction and the upstream area of the water source; the natural geographical conditions should not be conducive to the floating diffusion and leakage.

② Establish a long-term mechanism for the collection, treatment and utilization of solid waste. Learn from the successful experiences and practices of developed countries in solid waste resource utilization, and improve the supporting and encouraging policies for promoting solid waste resource utilization. Not only should the reduction of resources be emphasized, but also the collection and resource utilization of solid waste should be given importance, in order to enhance the efficiency of resource utilization.

③ Optimization methods for solid waste. The composition and properties of many industrial waste residues are similar to those of natural building materials or artificially manufactured building materials. The resource-based prevention of solid waste pollution in construction refers to changing the perception of solid waste, viewing it as a resource, and reusing it for secondary utilization. This approach not only solves the problem of solid waste pollution but also creates certain economic benefits. The resource-based prevention of solid waste pollution in construction mainly consists of two steps: classifying solid waste and selecting appropriate treatment technologies. For example: Recycled aggregate concrete mainly refers to using some cement blocks and stones in construction solid waste to replace the stones in aggregate concrete to enhance the hardness and strength of the concrete; Waste bricks from the construction process, if their shapes are relatively complete and their strength and hardness do not change much, can be reused as bricks. If they have been crushed, they can be crushed and used as aggregate for recycled aggregate concrete. For waste ceramics in construction solid waste, they can be crushed into sand and broken down to 5-10mm, which can be widely applied to the exterior wall decoration of buildings. While solving the problem of solid waste pollution, it also creates a relatively high economic benefit.
