Nowadays, aluminium products are increasingly widely used in our daily lives. Aluminium coils, as a part of aluminium products, are also quite common in our lives. Although everyone is familiar with it, very few people know about its classification.

1000 Series 

The 1000 series refers to the 1050, 1060, 1070, 1000 series of products. This category is also known as pure aluminum coils. Among all the product series, the 1000 series belongs to one with a higher aluminum content, and its purity can reach above 99.00%. Since it does not contain any other technical elements, the production process is relatively simple and the price is relatively reasonable. It is a common series in industrial production. 

2. 2000 Series 

The 2000 series products represent 2A16 (LY16) and 2A06 (LY6), characterized by high strength. The copper content in these products is relatively high, approximately ranging from 3% to 5%. These aluminum plates belong to airline aluminum profiles and are not commonly used in industrial production. 

3. 3000 Series 

The 3000 series products are mainly composed of 300330032A21, with manganese as the main component, with the content ranging from 1.0 to 1.5. It is a product with excellent rust prevention function. 

4. 4000 Series 

The 4000 series has a relatively high silicon content, ranging from 4.5% to 6.0%. It features a low melting point, excellent corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and wear resistance. 

5. 5000 Series 

The 5000 series refers to the 5052, 5005, 5083, and 5A05 series of products, which are common aluminum coil products. The main element is magnesium, with a magnesium content ranging from 3% to 5%. They have a relatively low density and high compressive strength, as well as high tensile strength. Under the same total area, the net weight of this series of products is less than that of other series of products. 

6. 6000 Series 

The 6000 series refers to 6061, which contains magnesium and silicon as its two main elements. Therefore, it integrates the advantages of both the 4000 series and the 5000 series products, and is a cold-resistant aluminum casting product. It is suitable for use in places with high requirements for corrosion resistance and reducibility. 

7. 7000 Series 

The 7000 series refers to 7075, which contains zinc elements and belongs to the airline product series. It is an aluminum-magnesium-zinc-copper alloy and is a super-hard aluminum alloy profile. It has good wear resistance, is not prone to deformation or expansion after processing, has strong heat conductivity, and can reduce the forming time. It is a high-toughness aluminum alloy profile. 

8. 8000 Series 

The 8000 series aluminum sheets are most commonly known as 8011. They are mostly used for making bottle stoppers and are also applied in heat pipe radiators. They are less commonly used.
